Vestibular Treatment Program
This program is designed for persons who
have been diagnosed with vestibular or balance related problems. The
treatment approach, which generally takes 4-6 weeks (depending on the
severity), focuses on retraining other intact senses to accommodate for the
loss of central or peripheral vestibular deficits. A Physical
Therapist will evaluate your condition and formulate a treatment program in
conjunction with your physician. When diagnosed and referred by your
physician, the program is generally covered by your insurance.
Appropriate for:

Persons (male and female) who have difficulty maintaining their balance in
various situations and/or have had a history of falling and would like to
exercise in a safe, effective manner under the direction of a physical
therapist.

Persons who find themselves weak or de-conditioned from lack of physical
activity.

Persons seeking guidance in a general exercise and stretching program in a
class setting.

Those who have completed a program of treatment and would like to continue
in a class setting.
The Vestibular Treatment Program are
formulated and directed by a Physical Therapist.
